Who is Gigi?

GIGI’S FRIEND is an idea of Gigi D’Amico and the name is the translation, D’Amico in Italian means “of friend”

With this project he puts together the pieces of his current streetstyle fashion idea.

To know Gigi D’Amico is to know the fashion, the music, the art and the style he creates.
Half Italian and half Spanish, Gigi was born in Catania, Sicily. He lived in London where he went to school for music production-business-sociology, he is now based in Barcelona where he creates fashion, music and art.

Gigi’s style within the music and fashion, combines the eclectic and experimental with traditional sounds and materials.
His fashion is inspired by his music, his background and his passion for Italian classic cinema.

He spent the majority of is life in Italy where hr could develop the first music projects are musician and sound engineer.

Moved in London to study music at the Westminster University and then moved  to Barcelona where he defined all his passions and activities.

Started in 2010 his shoe designs brand GIGI D’AMICO shoes 

Created in 2016 his music production studio in the heart on Raval neighborhood in Barcelona, Raval Music Productions, the next year started the Alt Avanti record label.

He works as freelance fashion stylist and vintage clothing professional for Holala Ibiza store in Calle Tallers (BCN)

Painting and fashion photography is a big pleasure in his life.

The picture is completed with his great passion about cinema and the addiction on the Italian cinema from the neo-realism to the b-movies of the 80s.

So knowing Gigi now makes a bit of connection with the clothing we can find here and the tribute to certain specifics things like movie directors, music machines and so on….
